About this Artist
Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service)
Seattle resident, Ben Gibbard is the singer/guitarist/songwriter for two of the most highly acclaimed bands around today: Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service. Death Cab (including Chris Walla on guitar/organ, bassist Nick Harmer, and drummer Jason McGerr) got its start in 1997. In 2002, Ben wrote and recorded with Jimmy Tamborello (of Dntel and Figurine) under the name The Postal Service. Their first release, Give Up, made the biggest splash an indie release could hope to make. If don’t already love these bands, you should.
